Brooklyn College Off-campus Office is closed on Friday's.

bullet

Please make sure to make your check out to LIIPS.  BC bills us by semester and we pay them in total.

bullet

We recommend that you contact our office prior to contacting Brooklyn College.  For most issues this will save you time.  We can usually resolve your issue quickly (grades, immunization, transcripts), point you in the right direction or contact them on your behalf.   Please remember Brooklyn College is a large institution and we are only one of their sites.

bullet

If you want a record of taking a Brooklyn College class for yourself or to be sent to your school district you MUST fill out a BC transcript request form and send it to BC with $7.00.  You may also order a transcript from their website.  You or your district will not be automatically notified.  This is BC policy.  Their direct phone number is 718-951-5083.

bullet

Tuition bills are occasionally sent to our Graduate students by Brooklyn College due to a computer issue at BC.  Please disregard any bills you receive directly from them.   Your tuition is paid directly to us and we take care of the Brooklyn College reimbursement.  They are aware of the problem and are working to correct it.  We apologize for any confusion.

bullet

Please also note that only 4 graduate courses may be taken per semester - no exceptions.  During the Summer Session only 3 graduate courses may be taken.  This is calculated using their calendar.  Please check their calendar below and plan accordingly.

bullet

Classes can not overlap dates at all.  Even one overlap date will not be approved.  The BC computer system will reject your application.

bullet

For grades you can call our office at 631-473-8500.  We keep all grades on file.  You can also log on to their web site:    www.brooklyn.cuny.edu   Transcripts can be ordered on-line by clicking on the "student web-central" to the left  and then the "office of the registrar" to the right.  You can also call  212-671-2700 for grade information.

bullet

A  letter of completion that can be sent to your school district or home, please call our office at 631-473-8500.  If you are connected to voicemail please be sure to leave your name, ss#, class and mailing details.  This will not contain a grade if sent on the completion date of the course but can be held and then sent once a grade is submitted by the professor.  This letter will certify that you have completed the course.    Many districts will accept this while an official transcript is pending.

To request a transcript from BC before you will need it so you allow plenty of time to receive it.  Transcripts are only available at the end of each semester, not at the end of each class.  For Spring classes this is June 1, for Summer classes this is September 1 and for Fall classes this is January 1.  This can involve waiting a few weeks or several months for an official transcript.  Please call or verify your grades and courses on-line before you request the transcript.  Remember Letters of Completion are always available through our office.

Spring           January 1 - May 31                             Available after June 1
