COUNSELING THE COACH

The Long Island Institute of Professional Studies provides individual counseling for athletic coaches attempting to meet the Commissioner’s Regulations for coaching. Any previous course work is evaluated to determine which courses, if any, might be applied toward meeting the Commissioner’s Regulations; and a plan of course work designed to meet the Regulations will be developed. A certificate is provided for each course that a coach completes with our Institute and a summary document will be provided for each person completing Coaching Requirements of the Commissioner of Education.

If you have any questions please call our office at 631-563-1400.  All coaching questions should be directed to Dr. Foley.  He was the Athletic Director with the Three Village School District here on Long Island for 30 years and has extensive expertise in this area as well as teaches several courses himself.
