As education moves in cycles, Common Core moves out, and Next Generation moves in, and as always so do our roles as teachers. This course will describe just what we need to achieve a greater understanding of the Next Generation Standards, and how to move forward in the curriculum with our students. This course will provide you with the knowledge to be more of a facilitator in your classroom coaching your students as they become more and more active in their own learning. We will explore how to promote and encourage self-directed learning in your classroom, while also creating a learning environment that encourages collaboration. Educators will discuss how to help your students manage their own learning, and inspire their thinking skills. These skills will help them thrive in their daily lives both inside and outside of the classroom.
This course is a must for all teachers and staff of all disciplines K-12.
