Student engagement is much more than an educational buzzword. When students are engaged, they are psychologically invested in their education. They want to listen, learn and participate. Engagement promotes higher-level thinking and deepens student understanding. It increases their desire not just to succeed, but to be an active part of the learning process. This course is designed to promote this concept by examining strategies that help increase student attention and curiosity, therefore simultaneously increasing their optimism and better preparing them for the future. Student engagement promotes growth and future life and career readiness. We will look at how we can execute these desired practices and achievebeneficial outcomes.
