Course Description:
Writing is one of the most essential skills students can learn in school. It’s not just an academic requirement, but a life skill. It helps students recall information, connect concepts and organize information. Writing enables the expression of ideas, critical thinking and the development mental endurance. However, one of the biggest challenges we face as educators is teaching the process of writing and giving students the tools necessary to carry out the different types of writing on their own. This course is designed with that in mind. The goal is to explore the different types of writing, their importance and to help teachers come up with strategies to engage their students and enhance their writing skills. It is perfect for secondary education teachers.
