Course Description: This professional development course is designed to help educators enhance their public speaking skills, a critical competency for effective teaching and leadership. Participants will explore various techniques and strategies to improve their confidence, delivery, and engagement when speaking to different audiences, including students, parents, and colleagues. The asynchronous format allows educators to learn at their own pace, making it a convenient option for their busy schedules. Topics covered include overcoming public speaking anxiety, voice modulation, body language, storytelling, engaging different audiences, and using technology effectively. By the end of this course, educators will be better equipped to communicate clearly, inspire their listeners, and lead with confidence.

NEW! This self-paced course uses an online learning platform called Canvas. All videos, reading materials, and assignments can be found in one online location. Also, you can simply type your assignments into the website and hit the “submit.” button. This new feature makes the course easier to navigate and more user-friendly than other courses.
