Jessica Armbruster
Hello! My name is Jess Armbruster and I am so excited to welcome you to one of my courses. An upstate girl at heart, I grew up in Plattsburgh, NY and earned my BS in Psychology and Theatre from SUNY Plattsburgh. Dowling College’s Dual Certification program brought me to Long Island, where I earned my MS in Special Education. I have been teaching over a decade between NYC and Long Island.
As the founding director of Student Support Services, I also co-taught middle school Math and ELA for a Lower East Side Charter School in Manhattan. In that role, I supported both fellow teachers and tutors by creating and leading professional development for our school staff. Now a Long Island resident, I co-teach 5th grade in the Northport School District, where I also direct our middle school musical and musical showcase. My incredible husband and I have two amazing kiddos, a 3 year old son and 3 month old daughter! I look forward to meeting you in class soon!
