Kimberly Wind

Hi! I have been teaching since 2013, first in the DOE and now in a school district on Long Island. I have spent most of my career in 4th grade, but have also taught kindergarten, 3rd and 5th grade. Besides general education, I am also certified in special education, ENL, and literacy. I find that in education these days I use all that I learned from each of these programs to reach the needs of all my diverse students. Since 2017 I have been teaching with 1-1 student access to Ipads. Once we all pivoted to online instruction in 2020 I saw how much more knowledge I had in technology in the classroom compared to many of my colleagues. I began helping my friends on other grade levels to better use the tools and resources our district has available to us. I love helping others see all we can do to extend our teaching through technology.
