Jacqueline Foley

My name is Jacqueline Foley and I have been teaching in the Sachem Central School District for 20 years. I am a St. Joseph’s College graduate and hold certifications in Early Childhood Education (birth- grade 2), Childhood Education (grades 1-6), Students with Disabilities (birth-grade 2), and Students with Disabilities (grades 1-6). I also hold a Master of Science in Education-Literacy degree from Long Island University. This summer I completed a micro-credential from New Paltz in the Science of Reading. During my time at Sachem I have actively participated in countless committees and have held a position as a Principal Aide for Humanities (ELA and Social Studies) and as a Principal Aide for STEM ( math, Science and STEM). I am currently teaching 5th grade and love being reading buddies with kindergarten. When I attend staff developments or take courses I try to always approach them looking for one great thing I can walk away with and use in my classroom. Whether you are taking one of my courses towards your MA+75 or CTLE hours to maintain your certification, I hope you find at least one great thing you will find useful in your classroom to help keep learning fun.
