Class Description:
This course provides educators with a clear overview of Restorative Practices. Teachers will understand how Restorative Practices in schools promote community, empathy, and collaboration by emphasizing relationship-building and resolving conflict through dialogue rather than punitive measures. Educators will learn to use structured circles to create safe, supportive spaces for students, to communicate, share perspectives, and address concerns. These proactive approaches enhance school connectedness, reduce behavioral issues, and strengthen academic engagement. All key restorative practices will be examined throughout this course. This course is a must for all educators grades K-12.
