Course Description: Creating inclusive education requires a myriad of different strategies involving curriculum design, assessment, cognition, accessible materials. Participants in this course will learn how to effectively and dynamically guide their students in a rich and productive learning environment, one that accommodates multiple means to reduce learning barriers, incorporate learners’ interests and provide multiple means of student representation. Teachers will be able to identify goals that their students need based on their respective disciplines, nurture their students’ diverse backgrounds and interests, and equip their learners with the tools to broaden their understanding and acceptance of all individuals.
