In this course, educators will work to strengthen connections by building trust through consistent outreach, fostering an inclusive and safe learning environment, and using diverse, interactive strategies that accommodate varied learning styles. Educators will learn to use strategies such as flexible instructional design, active-learning techniques, low-stakes check-ins, UDL (Universal Design for Learning), and technology-supported engagement. Teaching students to goal set while addressing skills as focusing, persistence, and strategic self-talk ensures evidence aligned literacy success. Participants in the course will examine explicit instruction in key areas of phonemic awareness, phonics fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. A high-engagement classroom begins with creating a positive, student-centered culture as well as integrating music, incorporating gamification, using movement-based learning, celebrating milestones, and offering meaningful student choice. Educators will learn effective approaches such as strengthening teacher-student relationships, using appropriate humor, and creating inclusive, active learning environments that inspire curiosity and sustained engagement.  We will discuss how and when student choice is most effective and meaningful along with topics on music and movement in the classroom. Teachers will understand how Restorative Practices in schools promote community, empathy, and collaboration by emphasizing relationship-building and resolving conflict through dialogue rather than punitive measures. Educators will learn to use structured circles to create safe, supportive spaces for students, to communicate, share perspectives, and address concerns. These proactive approaches enhance school connectedness, reduce behavioral issues, and strengthen academic engagement. TikTok was the most downloaded app in 2019 and has since then added to the depletion of students’ abilities to concentrate. This course will explore the ways in which social media can be utilize to educators’ advantages, rather than disadvantages. Through a myriad of investigations, articles, and pedagogical research findings, participants will comprehend the ways that social media platforms can play important roles in their classrooms. The course will address interdisciplinary instruction, guiding students through effective direct and independent instruction, ways to inculcate social media into students’ readings and writings, as well as social media utilization in mathematics and science instruction. *A Must for K-12 Educators*

Visual thinking enables students to deepen their comprehension of challenging material. In this course, participants will develop the skills necessary to deepen their students’ analysis in all subjects and to clarify their understanding via mapping, sketching, sculpting, comic strip creation, map writing, and many more. Visual thinking strategies will be demonstrated, ones that make students’ thinking visible, enable new connections, reveal and diminish gaps in understanding, and foster worthwhile conversations. Teachers will be able to develop ways to instruct their learners visually and offer avenues for mental models for students. Storyboards will be addressed as well as visual notetaking and story bubbles in real-time. *A Must for K-12 Educators*
