Debra Epstein

My name is Debra Epstein, and I am so glad you chose to take my course. I am currently a Special Education Math teacher in the Farmingdale School District, where I have proudly taught for the past 27 years. For over two years, I have also worked as a certificate associate for The Long Island Institute of Professional Studies (LIIPS).

I have taught 7th and 8th grade Special Education as well as elementary. For the past 15 years my focus has been teaching Special Education Math in a Self-Contained and an ICT setting. I truly love working with middle school students, even though the age group can be a challenge at times. Now, I am excited to take my passion to the next level by teaching and supporting fellow educators.

On a personal note, I am a proud wife and mother of three—ages 20, 18, and 16—which keeps me very busy! During the summer, I continue working but also enjoy spending time with my family, going to the beach, hiking, gardening, cooking, and doing puzzles.
