Class Description: Initiating conversations for students can be daunting in any classroom. Prompting learners to engage with the material and with one another requires a wealth of methodologies that will be explored in this course. Topics such as productive discussion, active listening, and reasoning skills will be addressed, as well as articles and hands-on activities that delve into all disciplines and garner students’ depth of knowledge. Discussion protocols and crafting open-ended inquiry driven dialogue will be covered.
