Course Description:

Math anxiety can significantly affect students’ achievement, participation, and attitudes toward mathematics. This course explores the causes and effects of math anxiety while providing research-based strategies to help educators create supportive, engaging, and confidence-building mathematics classrooms.

Participants will examine the relationship between mindset, instructional practices, assessment, and student motivation, and will develop practical tools to foster mathematical resilience, encourage productive struggle, and build lasting confidence in learners of all ability levels.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to identify signs of math anxiety, implement evidence-based instructional strategies, and create learning environments that promote mathematical confidence and success.
