Current Educational Trends and the Impact on Instruction
The state of education continues to change based on new policies, programs, issues, and events. In the past decade, educational terms such as “accountability”, “standards”, “assessments”, “technology integration”, and “professional development” have been used on a much more frequent basis by educators, community members, and even politicians. This course will explore educational policies at the national and state levels, school budget cuts, and other trends that impact education in America. Through this course, teachers will discover ways in which they can change instructional plans and strategies to best meet the needs of their students in these ever-changing times. This course is suitable for all educators, K-12.
